Very Underrated Extension
I'm using 1.7.0.2 Community Edition.
When I was debating whether or not I should give this extension a try, I could find nothing on its features. My goal was to have a "width" and "length" slider so users can search by exact size ranges.
Right out of the box, this extension did exactly that and with an absolutely beautiful interface. It is even an option to change the units of display so you can display your attribute like this for example: 15 Horsepower - 25 Horsepower. As long as it is one number, you can have any units be displayed.
There are many, many more features but that was one I was impressed with.
But what if you wanted to display your widths and heights in feet and inches format? Instead of 85", perhaps 7' 1'' is more user friendly.
I emailed their support, and they did a fantastic job creating a function, letting me know which files have been changed (small additional fee by hour).
Another great thing. Let's say you want your slider to update with results. You select Filterable (with results). Easy. If you want the min/max values to be constant, use Filterable (no results).
To summarize, this extension is brilliantly done. It does not slow down your site. It is made the "Magento way" and their support goes above and beyond. If you are looking for a custom attribute range slider, then this is what you are looking for.
